![]() In seeking out information on Jack Lynn, I turned up a "Jack Lynn' who worked in radio and TV beginning in the fifties as a regional exec, later a producer -- producing jazz shows including the final televised Billie Holliday concert program -- and ending up in England where he began publishing "legit" novels circa. 1972. He passed away in 1993, receiving a nice detailed obituary. Whether this man was the creator of the outrageous "Tokey Wedge" series is not clear. However, the "Wedge" books followed in the Mickey Spillane tradition with a generous dose of the bawdiness that made Richard S. Prather's Shell Scott series such a popular read in that late-50s-early-60s era. As far as sleaze-hero series go, Jack Lynn wins a prize for slovenly boastfulness!
